I Confess

What have the red states done to be the recepient of God's rath? Could it be their devotion to "w"?

The preacher talked about hypocrites last night at Prayer meeting and it got me to thinking. He said when you live differently than the way you project to others about yourself then you are a hypocrite. Well I know that I project evil to many of my detractors but in reality I'm not so bad so I guess I am a hypocrite. I confess, I am a pretty good person. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I'll try to project myself in a better light in the future. I hope my political enemies will help me.

^ $5.00 / Gal.

I can't wait until Rita hits the right-wing choosen state of Texas and gasoline prices hit over $5.00 / Gal. I bet FEMA works O.T. this time around. If "w" can't have some photo ops real quick Texas may wake up to reality. Maybe bush will resign due to "impeachment from God." Can't he understand God is sending him a message about his displeasure with his actions? The blood of thousands is on his hands from unnessary war and intentional environmental criminal negligence. "w" is like Job crying, "why are you doing this to me Lord!" It's karma "w"; the oil platforms and your kingdom of cities will be destroyed. I will take your material riches and bring you to your knees sayeth the Lord. You think you are immune from the wrath of God because you are rich and have more than any other country in the world but I will show you who is still in control. Good bye lying neocons. Judgement day is here. "w"s and the neocons pride and arrogance have brought this on themselves and will destroy them. Amen and Amen!

Oh I can be much more creative than that but I don't want to go over the heads of most right-wingers besides they will just steal my ideas and print them as their own. They wouldn't get it. I have to talk down to conservatives at their level. I'm trying to be considerate of their lack of education and deficiencies. By the way, you never said what was obscene about my blog. Is it the truth that bothers you so much?

Why are you neoconiacs so obsessed with and threatened by Hillary? I don't agree with her about the war and many other things. She's too conservative for me just the way Bill was too conservative on things like the death penalty. It drives you guys crazy to see her popularity going much higher than your savior "w" doesn't it? It's too bad all this couldn't have happened last year at this time. The public would have gotten a clear view of what "w" really is instead of the typical Rove P.R. fabrications. I know you are a big FOX watcher and right-wing CATO institute fan but come on; you're starting to go off the deep end with that propaganda. Snap out of it!

Hey, did you know I went to an anger management class last month as a way to deal with my anger and control my temper? I HATE THOSE PEOPLE!!! I CAN"T STAND THOSE TEACHERS!!!!

I don't think most senators were for the "w"ar but all the lies from "w", Cheney, Wolfowitz, Tenet, Colin Powell and the rest of "w"s yes men they didn't have much of a choice. Now the truth is coming home to roost on this administration. Unending war, debt, bankrupcy, and wow I don't hear anything about S.S. reform any more. I wonder why? The people are waking up to the truth. Even Colin Powell now states that the administration lied to him and he regrets making the speech at the U.N. No wonder the public doesn't have any confidence in "w" anymore. He has been exposed as the fruad that he truly is. I guess faithful conservative republicans such as yourself must be really proud. The only thing the administration is good at is running campaigns, P.R. and stealing elections. When it comes to actually governing the country we need some grownups who know what they are doing.

Good Old Days

Oh how I pine for the days when all the conservative media had to do was focus on Clinton's zipper. Yes, things ran so well economically, and in foreign affairs that all the conservatives and Repubicans had to talk about was Clinton's sex life. Can you imagine if Clinton presided over all the failure, theft, debt and death that "w" is responsible for? The only explaination conservatives give is that, "It's all Clinton's fault. If Clinton wounldn't have had sex back in the good old days then "w" wouldn't have all the problems we have today. How pathetic, but that is the logic they use to defend everything they do. They are never responsible for their failures. It's always someone else, preferably liberals or Clinton. If the public had a chance to choose between Clinton's presidency and the present one I think I know which one they would take. God will not be mocked and "w" is reaping the blasphemy and lies he has sown throughout his whole life.

Hey, T.Glenn

Subject: RE: keep the faith (No pun intended)

You're right. And I can't wait until they tear down the Supreme Court Building. The front of it, where they have carved in stone a depiction of Moses holding the Ten Commandments, makes my stoamch turn. Man, what were those sons of bucks thinking in the 30's. Just a bunch of slobber mouth fundamentalists. Crawdaddy

Hey Crawdaddy, Good to hear from the Southern Republican Baptist ilk who are trying to learn something rather than just accept all the propaganda they are feed from their fundamentalist leaders.

Luke has been in the Supreme Court several times and said that in addition to that one sculpture there are sculptures of Mohammed, Budda, and many other religious and historic figures. If it was only Moses then it would not be allowed but if it is in the context of all other religions and history of law then it is allowed. Jesus is not depicted because he wasn't big on "the Law" the way Moses and those in the Old Testament were. Actually, having Moses there is more a nod to the Jews than Christianity. There is no sculpture of Jesus on the cross or the stone rolled away in the third day. Actually Christianity is excluded. Maybe you could get the ACLU to take your case. I don't have a problem with it that way. No one religion is excluded except Christianity. There can't be any discrimination or establishment of only one faith. That is what the Constitution says. The problem with many fundamentalists is that they only want their religion depicted to the exclusion of all others. You need to listen to both sides of the issue instead of the James Kennedy and the James Dobson types. They lie by only giving one side of the stories and exclude the whole picture. Like Paul Harvey says, "and now the rest of the story." Read and study. Any time you need to learn something I am always happy to help you.

Love ya!

Stranded on the Roof

I can't get the sight out of mind. Thousands of people stranded on their roof tops pleading for help while "w" does a fly-over in air force one and takes photo ops with firemen who have been flown in just for the P.R. stunt. I guess Rove thought it would remind the country of 911 but I don't think it worked too well. The image of the stranded on rooftops and dead floating in the flood water is symbolic of all that the bush administration represents. We are drowning in a sea of debt and death perpetrated by "w" and his "Neocons." They started an unneccesary war in Iraq yet don't have the resources to help the helpless in our own country. They give huge tax breaks to the wealthy yet don't have enough to provide medical care for millions in America. We have the highest infant mortality rate of any industrialized country in the world. That tells you what our priorities are under this administration. We have doubled the number in poverty over the last four years as a result of this administration's economic policies. New Orleans has brought to the forefront the plight of many poor minorities who didn't have the resources to leave before the hurricane. This country is drowning from immorality and the greed of this administration. When will the public kick bush and his republican yes men out of power? It can't be soon enough in my opinion. Maybe the media has finally woke up to the reality of what has happened these last five years and will start to report the truth rather than Rove spin and propaganda. Bush has appointed thousands of unqualified incompetent partisans to run very important agencies in D.C. rather than people specifically trained and qualified for positions in their agencies. Mike Brown of FEME is only one obvious example. They don't believe government is the answer to anything so they put inqualified quacks in charge to prove they aren't important but then when the government is needed for real emergencies other than "W"ar we are unprepared. What does that say about our situation?
I still can't get the view of stranded people on roof tops and visions of people drowning inside their attics as they try to escape the rising waters in their houses. What if something like this happens in your community? Do you trust that "w" is prepared to respond? Oh well, only the fittest survive just like in the jungle. "w" can always throw a few hundred Billion $dollars at the clean up and have a photo op for the cameras to show he feels their pain. How ironic that Cuba and Fidel offered to send aid to us during our crisis in the Gulf because our country couldn't do it. That is what we have come to under this administration.
We are truly stranded on the roof of a deminished America. Help someone, Please!

Who is "w" praying to now? God has betrayed him.

“w” is so good at placing blame on others and pointing fingers toward others for his own screw ups that now he is pissed at God and wants him eliminated from his administration. "w" and Rove tried to blame the victims of the Hurricane for shortening his month long vacation by a couple of days but that didn't seem to work so now God is being blamed. God apparently sent the Hurricane just to make “w” look bad and boy has he done a good job. “w”s pole numbers are so bad that even the treasonous Carl Rove can’t help him. I know “w” talks to God every day and gets his orders to start wars and give big tax breaks to millionaires but why is God so mad at “w” that he would do this? Maybe God is not the obedient republican “w” thinks he is. Maybe God has had the last laugh on ol “w.” Everything “w” touches seems to go to hell. In every area of this administration’s actions they have failed and where is that old Bin Laden? Remember him? After eight years of “w” this country will never be out of debt. At least democrats can always use “w” and the republicans to compare themselves to when times get lean. They can’t be out-spent, out-warred or out-failed. Yes, “w” is the bench mark for pathetic performance. After five years of this administration I bet the public would be happy to have the womanizing Clinton back in office. At least he was competent and capable. He is truly brilliant compared to monkey man "w."

One Nation Under God? Give me a break!

Hey T. Glenn,
I just heard on NPR this morning that some pinko, commie, fag, limp
wristed, flag burning idiot thought his civil rights were being violated
because his son's school said the Pledge of Allegiance each morning.

He said they were promoting religion because of the line "one nation
under God". Gimme a break. He took the case to the California Supreme
Court and won. Next is the U.S. Supreme Court.

Lucky for us ole 'W' will get to appoint two of his boys to the bench before
that case will be heard. yeeehaaaw
tom

Hey Tom,do you really think America is a Christian Nation Under God? The U.S. is the most materialistic nation in the world, hands down. It is also one of the most violent and "war industry" dominated countries in the world under this administration. The guy your talking about is Micheal Nudal from Sacramento. He took it to the Supreme Court last year and Renquist chickened out ruling on it because he didn't have guadianship of his child. He is still his child. That was a technical point that was just their way of not having to rule on it. Typical chicken hawk conservative court (Thomas, Scalia, Renquist). They know it is unconstitutional but they are afraid to rule because they are afraid to tell the public the truth. You can say anything you want during the Pledge of Allegience but the government can not force you. That is the issue. Most citizens don't get it but it is unconstitutional; Fact! Oh, and the history of the Plege is that it did not contain those two words in it's original form. They were added in the 1950's. A Socialist minister wrote the original Pledge. How about if the Pledge was changed to contain the words, under Soun Yon Moon, under Yahwey or Mr. Morman Joseph Smith? Would you have a problem with that? After this case has been settled the next issue to resolve is to have the words "In God we Trust" taken off our money which is also unconstitutional. If our founders could see how close we are to becoming a Theocracy they would shake their head in disgust. They started our country because of the very religious intrusion into government that was going on in England. It is fast becoming the same today right here in America because people don't have any idea what the Constition and our founders insisted on. What if there were more Catholics like you in the U.S. than any other religion? Would you also take the position that everyone follow Vatican teachings regardless of what their personal religious beliefs were? I thought as an educated person you would understand that. Come on Tom. Stop falling for Rush's and Hannity's B.S. You're brighter than that. If the Supreme Court does start leaning toward a Theocracy by imposing religion on all citizens through governmental laws there will be another Civil War and I know which side I will be on. It would be the best thing to happen to liberals and democrats because people know how extreme the present right-wing republican leadership has become in Washington. The pendelum will swing back to the middle very fast. It has already started because of the incompetence of this administration.

See ya!

News Flash!

Hurricane "w"

Bush is worse disaster to hit U.S. since the nation was formed over two centuries ago!

Ballgame

I was at a baseball game in Louisville last month and guess who I was sitting by? A fundamentalist preacher. His flock was at the game as a family/Church outing. They seemed like a good group so I struck up a conversation with the guy next to me which I found out was the preacher who moved here from Louisiana. I asked what denomination they were and the guy in front of me told me. I said that sounds different than the other demomination they came from so my response was, "What is the differnce between you and them?" The reponse from the guy in front of me was, "We believe the Bible." Oh yeah, exactly. If you believe differently than them then you don't believe the Bible. Typical fundamentalist response. So I asked him if he believd Mark 16:15 which is the scripture about those who believe being able to pick up poisonous snakes with their hands and drink deadly poison without being hurt. First I had to tell him what the scripture said and he responded while spilling his beer on himself "that is crazy." "Only nuts would do such a thing." I said well the Bible says Jesus said it, Are you calling Jesus a nut or liar." "Of course not" he said. I was just misinterpreting it. Well I looked up several interpretations and they all said the same. The preacher sitting next to me didn't have much to say. The only thing most fundamentalists believe about the Bible is what their own prejudices support. They take many scripture out of context concerning drinking alcohol, homosexuality, racism, evolution, abortion, nationalism, materialism and many others because they don't look at what it says objectively. They read it totally subjectively and only as a way to proof text what they want it to say. So much for the theology of fundamentalists. No wonder they are anti-intellectual and against educated people who know the Bible in a much deeper and meaningful way. And so goes the march to a fundamentalist theocracy in America. God help us.

Divider, Not a Uniter

There has never been a president in U.S. history that has so polarized this country as bush has. He has been given every opportunity to bring this country together after he and the republicans stole the election in 2000. After 911 he could have really brought this country together and united all citizens if he had just been equitable in his actions. He and of course Carl Rove chose to take advantage of the overwhelming support he had as a result of 911. He chose to be partisan and decietful in his governing and it has not changed one bit since then. Even after the Hurricane in the Gulf bush has chosen to ignore the plight of the poor and minorities but instead continues to give tax breaks to corporations and the rich while only crumbes to the poor. He refuses to increase the minimum wage putting the poor into a deeper hole while having to pay for double energy costs. His legislation adds more to the wealthy, as the number in poverty doubles. His energy poicy does nothing to alieviate our dependence on oil. Instead he chooses to give huge tax breaks to oil companies who are already making record profits which put the country deeper into debt. He only serves those who don't need help in this country, the wealthy and powerful as opposed to the workers. He has lied to the country about every action he has taken and shown no regard for honesty in dealing with any politician that does not agree with him. He has put this country into endless debt and set about the bankruptcy of our nation. The ones who will pay will be our children. Bush is shameless. I truly believe he intended to bankrupt this country so that all the services (Social Security, Medicare) that were started by the Federal government will no longer be able to survive and to all those good people that have built this country and died for needless wars he says, "Go Pluck yourself you big time cash hole!" He doesn't know what most average people in this country go through just to survive day by day. He only laughs at those in need. He never had to worry about money or a job because he was always taken care of by his Daddy and his rich powerful friends. This country is split right down the middle between the haves and have-nots. The result and cumulation of all he has brought on America will be another Civil War. Get ready, it is going to happen as sure as bush lies about war and politics. Judgement day is near. I know which side I will be on. I will follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, help those in need and the peacemakers. A very inciteful parable Jesus told says, "It is harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God than pass through the eye of a needle." I am blessed with not being wealthy by American standards but compared to most people in this world I am rich. I ask the Lord to help me share more of my possessions and to take serious his admonitions in the Sermon of the Mount. I fear that the republican party and the religious right in this country are so corrupted with money and power that they are too far gone for redemption, but I know that the Lord always provides redemption and a second chance. Pray that they repent and follow Christ before our country crumbles from within. We are very much like Rome in their glory days. While Nero fiddled Rome burned just like today with our leadership and unconcern for the least of us. There is no security in material things as the wealthy believe. They will pass away but the spirit endues forever. He will bring us to our knees because of our wealth, arrogance and pride. We are not exempt from pain and suffering. We need to remember that.

Arrogant

To show how out of touch, arrogant and ignorant "w" is, when asked if Sec. Brown of FEMA should be fired for his pathetic performance in response to Katrina. Bush said, "What didn't go right?" and "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job." This guy is so detacted from reality it is maddening. He and his cabol must be impeached immediately and we must have a leader who is both competent and capable. His presidency has brought shame on America in so many ways. Is the public so blind and uncaring about poor blacks that they will allow Bush to get away with his inaction and incompetency. Call your representatives and demand accountability!

No Shame

NO SHAME

It is interesting to observe the Republicans and Bush administration lie and cover up what happened before, during and after the hurricane disaster last week. Their lies were so blatant that even the usually compliant media didn’t give them a pass the way they did with 911 and Iraq. It seems so ironic that not one Republican voted last summer to allow exemptions to the tougher bankruptcy law for national disasters. How prophetic that after every crisis, bush and his people always excuse themselves by insisting, “We had no Idea this could happen.” Then they expect the public to believe them. They lie with impunity and no respect for the truth or intelligence of the public. “911” was foretold in many warnings and reports just like the results of a Hurricane on Gulf coast. What was their response to the warnings? Cut funding to the very agencies and projects that could improve our preparedness to disasters. Yeah, that’s it. When are people going to wake up to the incompetence and disaster in leadership at our nations’ capital? They can’t even provide the least modicum of security to the public. If that is not grounds for impeachment what is? They have yet to find who sent the anthrax to Washington and other locations after 911. They don’t care because the public and media have forgotten it. What will happen when we are attacked by terrorist’s rather than by God’s wrath? This whole episode has exposed the plight of the poor and helpless in this country as opposed to the wealthy that has the resources to escape a disaster like this. They live in a hell not of their making. Did you know that the minimum wage today is even less than it was 70 years ago? Poverty has doubled under bush’s reign. How can we expect the poor to make a living and provide for their families with that kind of incentive? What is bush’s response? Hey, you media guys don’t take pictures of all the black and poor dead and dying, floating around rotting in New Orleans. If the public sees the reality of what this country has become under their leadership they might start thinking for themselves and you know how dangerous that could be. The poor and blacks won’t enlist in the military and my Iraq war could fall apart. Ha! His answer; I’ll turn this project over to Carl Rove so he can start getting his message out that the victims and the democrats are actually to blame for this just like they are to blame for every other bad thing. The lies and marching orders have blossomed out of Roves’ office. The administration and right-wing media machine have already started that by blaming the Mayor and Governor of New Orleans and Louisiana for the problems. Bush lied about the Governor not asking for assistance and by declaring a state of emergency and that the mayor didn’t ask for any help. That is always their tactic when they fail and show their incompetence. They attack when they are exposed. It has worked very well for them so far. Their lies are well documented along with many others but it doesn’t keep the media from printing them as though they were factual. Their primary purpose as always is to deflect criticism and blame for anything by pointing the finger at their opposition. Politics is the only policy they respect. They don’t want the government to work for the people because they are against good government. What better way to show that the government is no good than to put it into irreversible debt and make it incompetent to provide any assistance or security. They want only the private sector to provide any help, with a big price tag of course. Then when the private sector fails economically or structurally they can then whine about the government being responsible and worthless. As Grover Norquist has said, “the plan is to drown the government in the bathtub so they can dismantle all the agencies that serve to help the public like Social Security, Medicare, EPA, OSHA etc.” This is the only explanation for Bush's administrations' actions. Can you imagine what would happen if a Hurricane would hit an affluent white community? Would the response be any better than this one? No answer is necessary. They have “NO SHAME and their lies need to be exposed for all to see!” Repent Republicans; for your judgement day is at hand! You reap what you sow.

Our Bold Leader

The “W”ar on Terrorists has been so successful that now the Bush administration has decided to start “The “W”ar on Weather.” Quoting bush, "I’m sure the private sector (Halliburton) will do a great job of rebuilding New Orleans;" "Now watch this drive” on hole two;, after all, his month long vacation was cut short by three days. Maybe he can make it up at a course near D.C. He said, ”he had a life and no natural disaster was going to keep him from staying in shape.” He said, "people want him to be fit and in good health so he can lead them with a clear mind.” That’s important to the citizens of this country and we don’t need no “Big Time Major League -sshole liberal reporters or pathetic grieving mothers asking any questions about why so many black folks and soldiers have died.” After all, “I’m not runnin for any office any more and they didn’t vote for me so why should I do them any favors; now watch this putt.” They need to learn how to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps the way I did when I was growin up.” “Now watch this chip shot.” Right off Roves’ shoulder. Then as he rode off into the sunset on “Golf Cart One” he was heard saying, “See yau’ll later” Yee ha! Any one that criticizes our Commander in Chief is unpatriotic and needs to be deported back to their own third world country like California or Massachusetts. Now shut up and turn on Fox News or the 700 Club. You will get some real unbiased news and religion there so you can get your mind off all the ugly reality in this world. Let “w” take care of all the dangerous stuff going on in the red states. After all he is a “war-time and hurricane-time” president. Just pray for him and keep supporting him regardless what he does because God talks to him and tells him what to do. So how can he be wrong and who are you to question God? Amen and Amen.

More lies!

How can you tell President “w” is lying?

His lips are moving.

How many more lies are right – wingers willing to accept from bush before they see his incompetence and denial of reality relative to science, economics and social problems? This country is coming apart at the seams and “w” vacations the whole month of August even while the Hurricane devastated the Gulf coast. This is very reminiscent of the month before 911 in 2001. Now the administration whines that they had no idea this could happen. Yeah, just like they said, “no one had any idea a terrorist could use airplanes to fly into buildings. When are these buffoons going to be held accountable? This whole episode brings to light the plight of the poor and dispossessed in America which has been greatly exacerbated by “w’s” administration. We don’t need to be in Iraq but all our resources do need to be in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama helping the truly helpless people who endure the hardships that have been made much more difficult from this administration. They never miss an opportunity to to cut funding or aid to the poorest in our society while at the same time further enrich those wealthy individuals who don’t need help. They have cut funding to Gulf-Coast hurricane preparedness every year they have been in office just like they cut funding for any science issue they deny exists. Global warning is real and is causing much of the increased intensity of the hurricanes we now see. Now many self-righteous right-wingers are using this disaster to further attack and blame blacks and other poor minorities for the conditions. Pull themselves up by their bootstaps. Give me a break! If the middle class whites couldn’t afford to get out of town when the Hurricane came I wonder how they would be fairing. Fox and right-wing talk radio seem to only show and speak of black crime. Well the city is 75% black and poor and had no means of leaving. What would "w's" response be if this happened in Palm Springs or his Brothers wealthy neigborhoods in Florida? Poor victoms don't deserve to be blamed by right-wingers in a disaster. They need to be helped. The lowest level of political opportunism is being allowed during this episode and the public should reject their motives. Bush doesn’t seem to care because that demographic group doesn’t vote Republican. The right-wing response to all this is to point fingers away from the administration and to tell the public that they are unpatriotic to question our leader. Why am I not surprised?
