“w” certainly got away with his big lie concerning Iraq. He and his administration lied so often about the fictitious weapons of mass deception and an impotent Saddam that the gullible US public was too afraid to listen to the truth. Now they are at it again. If the public believes that deficits don’t matter anymore and that we can spend endlessly and still have tax cuts then surely they will believe the newest big lie from “w” that social security is in trouble and needs to be completely overhauled. If you believe that you deserve to lose your retirement.
The truth is that social security is financially the strongest and most secure government program in D.C. today. Under present conditions it will not need to be changed until 2042 but bush and the republicans have never wanted it, Medicare or Medicaid. They see this as their opportunity to destroy all the programs they opposed during the post depression era that guaranteed working people some semblance of security in their old age. If “w” and the republicans are serious about getting our fiscal house in order they would never have needless tax cuts for the rich while spending at a higher rate than any other administration in history and blowing countless billions of dollars and American lives on anunnecessary war. If the public would wake up and realize that we are presently a bankrupt country and our dollar has been devalued to a level never seen before then maybe they would crawl out of their fear induced “w” bunker and force our politicians to balance the budget and end this war before it is too late. Future administrations and our children are the ones who will pay the burden of all the debt that has been accumulated over the last four years. There is no Santa and you do have to pay for what you charge. The sooner “w” and the republicans realize this, the better off we will be. Don’t try to stifle the truth by crying about “the terrorism boggy man” and that anyone who doesn’t agree with “w” is not patriotic. That is another lie that must be exposed. We are grown ups and we must face the truth. “w” can’t hide behind the skirt of a right wing God and 911 forever. Make him do what he has never had to do in his whole life. Be responsible for his actions.
